This solicitation aims at introducing nanoscale science, engineering, and technology through a variety of interdisciplinary approaches into undergraduate engineering education. The focus of the FY 2014 competition is on nanoscale engineering education with relevance to devices and systems and/or on the societal, ethical, economic and/or environmental issues relevant to nanotechnology. 

AAUW Community Action grants provide funds to individuals, AAUW branches, AAUW state organizations, and community-based nonprofit organizations to support innovative programs or non-degree research projects that promote education and equality for women and girls. Special consideration is given to projects focused on the achievements of K-12 girls and community college women in science, technology, engineering, or math.

Priority Region: Proposals must be implemented in Lebanon, with priority given to projects implemented partially or entirely in underserved areas. Program Objectives: U.S. Embassy Beirut seeks proposals that promote English language education through youth engagement, women empowerment, community service, Science Technology English Math (STEM), English for Specific Purposes (ESP) or other relevant activities. Key Guidelines: - Applicants can apply as individuals or as groups (for example, a group of alumni), organizations, or as non-profit organizations. - All applicants should be Lebanon-based. - For alumni proposals, partnerships with existing, active alumni organizations are encouraged. - Successful projects should identify and work with appropriate partner institutions. Partner institutions can be engaged to provide expertise as well as cost-share activities. Cost-sharing (financial and/or in kind) is encouraged for a competitive grant. - Each project will evaluated based on its potential sustainability, meaning its ability to reach different audiences and goals during and beyond the grant cycle; projects that demonstrate sustainability will be given preference.

CISE's Division of Computer and Network Systems (CNS) supports research and education projects that develop new knowledge in two core programs: Computer Systems Research (CSR) program; and Networking Technology and Systems (NeTS) program. Proposers are invited to submit proposals in three project classes, which are defined as follows: Small Projects - up to $500,000 total budget with durations up to three years; Medium Projects - $500,001 to $1,200,000 total budget with durations up to four years; and Large Projects - $1,200,001 to $3,000,000 total budget with durations up to five years.

Jobs in STEM are only becoming more valued, and that gives educators a clear game plan: Get kids excited about science, technology, engineering and math. These skills can lead to a successful career in agriculture and other industries. The Grow Rural Education program allows eligible farmers to nominate their local public school district for grants to help enhance STEM education. Once nominated, school districts submit applications to compete for $10,000 or $25,000 grants to help fund projects that enhance their STEM curriculum. While these grants are helping to improve test scores today, better yet, they're getting kids to think bigger about their tomorrows.

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Digital Office (NDO) is interested in receiving white papers for Science and Technology (S&T) Projects which offer potential for advancements and improvements applicable to the digitization of NAVAIR / U.S. Naval Operations. The KickStarter Program is an intensive, comprehensive technical assistance program designed to prepare and position CCHSIs to compete successfully for federal funds focused on student recruitment and retention in STEM fields. Participation in the technical assistance program is intended to develop the institution's competitive advantage in seeking STEM-related funding, leading to an improved capacity for successful STEM programs.

The ONR seeks proposals for developing existing or innovative solutions that directly support the development and maintenance of a robust STEM workforce. The goal of any proposed effort should be to provide solutions that will establish and maintain a diverse pipeline of U.S. citizens who are interested in uniformed or civilian DoN (or Navy and Marine Corps) STEM related workforce opportunities.
